Membership is open to all steamboat enthusiasts, in the UK and overseas, whether or not they own a steamboat.

If you live in the UK, the subscription to be a member is £36 for adult members and £12 for junior members (up to the age of 18 at the year end) per calendar year, commencing 1st January. First year fees are graduated, as below:

1 January - 31 March = 100%

1 April - 30 June = 75%

1 July - 30 September = 50%

1 October - 31 December = 25%

Members' subscriptions are collected by Direct Debit by the service company GoCardless. Once you have completed the online registration the link to set up the Direct Debit mandate will be included in the welcome email you receive (or use  this link, if you have lost the email).  Please make sure that you use the same email address on GoCardless and on the SBA site.

Subscriptions are collected in January of each year and on joining for new joiners.  Membership renews each year on January 1st unless cancelled (contact the Membership Secretary) by November 30th.
